After having a horrible experience with a previous dental office a few months ago I was reluctant in returning to a dental office. I found Southern Dental close to work, looked at the reviews and gave it a try. I must say i was impressed as soon as I entered, I was warmly welcomed by the ladies at the front desk. I listened how they interacted with the other patients and these women are great. The whole staff are all welcoming and make you feel comfortable. I think I found my new dental office!
Doc took good care of my boyfriend when his wisdom tooth was giving him problems. Removed same day. We came in as walk in and we waited about 30 min to be seen. Staff was great. His mouth didn't stop bleeding after 24 hours, so he went back and they did x ray immediately. Turns out he bit his cheek while it was numb and that's why he was still bleeding. They called to follow up. Great doc great staff, we found a new dentist.
My 11 yr old son was originally told he would have to have 2 route canals. We had a re-evaluation with the new Pediatric Specialist on board with Southern Dental. She was wonderful! She gave us an alternative option, similar to a regular filling, but a little more of an intensive proceduer. She even worked him in that same day to get the work done that was needed on one side of his mouth. He will return to finish work on the other side of his mouth in a week. Thankfully his tooth was saved! She even used white composit, so you don't even notice he had work done on his teeth. She, and all the staff were wonderful with my son. They made sure he was comfortable through the entire procedure. I was initially nervous for my son, but the dentist and her team did a terrific job, and made my son feel at ease before, during and throughout the procedure. Their whole staff is great! FYI: Frank, the dental assistant, is AMAZING!!!

I visited the Heights location due to the convenient date, time, and location. The front receptionists was very pleasant and greeted you with a smile. It wasn't busy which was nice. Since it was my first time coming for something other than ortho work I had to fill out new patient forms which was conveniently done online, so when I got there I didn't have to fill out any forms. I had 1 wisdom tooth pulled and it was a quick process. Dr. Jama obviously knew what she was doing. I felt absolutely nothing the entire time and when the meds wore off the pain was minimal and swelling was unnoticeable. I've always heard horror stories from other's about their experience at other place but I was pleasantly surprised at the whole process. Definitely will be going back to get my upper left wisdom taken out.
